I had mine done 2 years ago. I had told my dentist what my condition was and what medication I take. I had twilight sleep medication. It didn't hurt getting the teeth taken out(they numbed me first) I had 14 teeth pulled at once. It took a long time to heal and I was in a lot of pain for several weeks.I had to go back to work 4 days after all the extractions. It was a royal pain to go through it, but I'm glad I had it done. I have had problems with my teeth for years. Iwas born with not enough enamel on my teeth. So. I'm glad it's done.

Have you ever been checked for TMJ. Sounds a lot like what I have. It's very painful. I've even had surgery on my right side as it was so severe it had caused my lower jaw to shift misaligning all my teeth. Anyways look up TMJ online. You'll see why I use the acronym. Lol. Might be exercises you can do to loosen the tight muscles if that's what you have. π
I have had dentures for about a year now and I'm not gonna lie I have a lot of problems. Initially the pain and bleeding were pretty intense because the placed the dentures immediately after surgery. Now, a year later, my biggest problems come from feeling like the top dentures are a little loose and food constantly gets under the bottom dentures even with using polident grip stuff. The dentures look great, however, the top ones feel especially thick and bulky. Also, the healing dentures were huge and stretched out my top lip so now I have lines in my top lip. π
Sorry, Dotti.... mispelled your name.
Sorry to hear this Ditto. Sadly, I have no advice. I am new on here and yours was the first post I saw... can't believe it because it never occurred to me that there is a connection with pain when chewing and FM. I can just about chew on one side but the pain extends from the roots yo my jaw bone when chewing or pressure is applied.
I hope you find a solution. Sorry I've nothing to contribute in sharing advice. But I wish you well and hope you find a resolve. If you do discover a solution please keep us posted.
