Any suggestions on decreasing pain from bulging disk besides pain meds?

I was referred to aqua therapy. They want to keep you moving. Alli did was walk around the pool, kicked my leg put to the front, side and back. Sat on the edge of the pool and did bicycle motions, lifted my legs up and down, apart and together as well as rotate my ankles one way then the other. In addition, I moved my foot up and down in the water while keeping my legs stationary. I had 8 bulging discs in my back. Some went back in place on their own and I think the exercise helped. Sorry to have rambled so.

I had surgery about 25 years ago on to rupture disks. After recovering I still had high-level back pain for 10 years. After a car accident I was prescribed chiropractic care, physical therapy, and massage therapy. That combination worked wonders! However, all the treatment was paid for by the car insurance. I don’t know if I would have ever been able to have that level of treatment on my own. But I have no back pain most of the time now. Just an occasional bad day. I still do one exercise every day – it’s called the bridge. You lay on your back with your knees bent and raise your butt and then lower it back to the floor. I only do 10 or 15 a day- it keep me pain free in my back. Now only if that would work for all the other fiber symptoms ha ha Best wishes

Aquatic physical therapy and aquatic occupational therapy! It has helped me a lot! And kept me from being in a wheelchair or bed all the time!
