Infrared Sauna
Hi Everyone
Has anyone tried Infrared sauna? There’s a new spa in my area and one of my colleagues recommended it. I also saw a show where a fellow with Lyme disease, which expresses itself with similar symptoms as FM, use this therapy regularly as part of his overall treatment plan. It involves being wrapped in a cocoon like blanket which, like a sauna, provides a moist heat and then you sweat. It’s supposed to detoxify your body. Sounds interesting. I would love to hear from anyone who’s… read more
Okay did the infrared sauna and it was good. It’s a bit intense but I did feel some pain relief in my joints and the swelling in my knee reduced. I’m going to try it again. I’ll post about this again once I’ve been a couple of times.
You can add to the wellness Ceragem or Migun Infrared Bed for me it worked for a while, when I was working I used to go where the store sold these beds and let people do massage and after a few years I purchased form craigslist one, almost new, for half price whish was good, I paid $900, I don't do massage everyday, it is to hard for my muscle just sometimes
Hi there
When I got married, my husband got rid of my TUB (😥😥😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😣😣😣😣😣😣) MY THAT FELT GOOD.
I always used the tub to lay down in and relax, it did wonders for me. Okay, replaced my tub with a walk in tub (due to his stroke). It of course was of a simple nature...no jets...could only sit in it......could not have a lay down bath (sitting ang laying are different).
SO, HE PURCHASED THIS SAUNA IN HOPES OF MAKING ME FEEL BETTER ABOUT THE TUB.
The sauna did wonders for my skin, toxins came out by the handbills, lost weight and you had to be hydrating everytime in it. Plus, I burned the back of my calf on one of the infra lights. Plus, you could not lean on the back of it, you needed a backrest.
It's gone....bye...bye....I would have preferred a wet sauna or better yet a tub.
KNOW, THIS ALL HAPPENED IN THE LAST 7 YEARS...THINGS MAY HAVE CHANGED.
I still have the walk in and I cannot get rid of it because it would cost about 3000.00 to get it out of my house.
Sorry, was the sauna useful, yes to a degree...but I would never buy one again. BUT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT WHEN IT COMES TO "FB".
SO TRY IT OUT, GIVE IT A FEW TIMES SO YOU KNOW IF IT WORKS FOR YOU. YOU MAYBE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.
Love to all and God Bless
Cindy
I think I’m going to try it. It’s also supposed to be beneficial for pain, or so they advertise. I’ll post about it after I try it.
I do the float therapy which I also LOVE. I would recommend this to all if available. Makes me feel better for about a week.
I can’t lay in a regular tub, just sitting in it causes pain on the pressure points near my hips. Once I’m in it I can’t get out because I have a bad leg that won’t support my getting up. My husband wants me to try a bariatric chamber, has anyone tried those? It’s been proved in Israel and Turkey to help FM patients but our FDA only approves it for diabetes, wound care and a few other diseases. I have found clinics however in North Carolina and South Carolina that offer the treatments. It is expensive but I am willing to spend the money if it’s going to help. Something that I haven’t seen expressed on this site is WE ALL HAVE AN AUTO IMMUNE DISEASE. this means that it takes us longer to recover from other healt issues like Shingles. I came down with shingles on my face and scalp last October and still have a little bit of it on my forehead. The chamber would help clear up shingles as well.
