So sorry you’re experiencing that, my right hand does that as well. It is somewhat frightening as I’m afraid it may stay that way!
I, however, like many of the other sister have osteoarthritis and associated it with that. It may or may not be, I don’t recall ever speaking to my Dr about it specifically.
The others have good recommendations for the stiffness... hot water and diclofenac gel (which is an anti inflammatory topical nsaid) for pain relief. It does help when I remember to use it.
Hope you have a good day,
🤗

Yes....been there, done that. A chiropractor was able to massage the cramp out of my right thumb. It did take more than one visit for her to get it worked out. Yes, I think back and it was “present” for several months.
I found myself applying a gel ice pack to it for additional relief. Make sure you r drinking plenty of fluids.

Hi. Yes this has happened to me but with feet. It’s very weird because I don’t have control as I watch my toes curling and my foot twisting upward. Very painful. Have had Charlie horses as well in my calf’s. I up my water intake and try to eat more bananas for potassium because I hear that’s good for leg cramping. Doesn’t happen too often anymore. Last time was during the start of this summer. Thinking of you and hope you find something that helps. Those cramps really suck my friend! Feel better
