My new doctor ran a blood test to check for pathogens like Lyme Disease, Epstein Barr, etc. I was positive for Epstein Barr. It is considered a strain of Herpes but is best known to cause mononucleosis, which I’ve never had (usually get this as a teenager or young adult). I am being referred to another specialist to get treatment. It explains the extreme fatigue I feel every waking moment. I’m a little worried in reading up on it as if it’s reactive chronic EBV this is not good. Guess the next doc will give me the information I need. Thanks for all your answers. 💕 Lilala, it’s a test done through Public Health Ontario. Ask your doc to test for it and probably Lyme too.

My doctor gave me excerpts from that book with diet and supplement information Senager. He is going to put me on a clean gut protocol for 3 weeks too. I think I will be purchasing the book as I would like all the information about this virus. When you go online and read that's it's essentially mono, it seems like it's not really serious but then when you read about reactive chronic EBV that sounds scary... It's all news to me. I remember reading years ago that it is the virus that is linked to CFE...don't know if this is still the belief. Thanks for the information. Have a wonderful day!

Also, my dr said that most everyone will test positive for it but it’s the chronic active EBV (which I have) that causes you issues. They were going to treat me with anti-virals or the with natural anti-virals but my immune system was compromised by my immune system being too low. I have yet to treat it and I found out January of this year. The only thing I did do is get IV infusions since my body wasn’t absorbing the nutrients/vitamins I needed to build my immune system. I did that a few months but it really didn’t help me.

Yes, I had glandular fever (Epstein Barr virus) when I was a teenager. And I was always tired after an evening out all through my life since.
