"Nightshade Plants: Tomatoes, chili and bell peppers, potatoes, and eggplant. There are over 2,000 species of plants that that can be listed under the category of "nightshade." Those which are edible comprise a group that some say can trigger flares of various types of arthritis, including fibromyalgia."
Now I'm trying to avoid those nightshade plants and also staying on gluten-free diet. I want to see what happens after I continue this diet for a month or so. Has anyone got any⦠read more

Not eating them definitely lessen the muscle spasms which means less pain.
The fibromyalgia support group I went to long ago gave us this very detailed list .

white starches

sugary fruit juices, energy drinks, etc.
6). Yeast Products
7). MSG - monosodium glutamate

Deli Meat, preservatives

Safest is Hydroxyzine and Cannabis, what brings you down, to stop anxiety.
I can only agree, particularly weening yourself off nightshades' veg.
At best can I eat the small cherry tomatoes, IF they're organic and sweet - ish...: ))
Occasionally I 'll try the oriental eastern aubergine dip,... whatchamacall it? .
But I had to wean myself off potato chips and try s'times some sweet potato fries/ or wedges..
I have also GERD, but even some other veg can cause flares and acidity.. milk or kefir will help.
're meats: it's not only the processing bit also the preservatives t hat cause the most havoc f or me: nitrates in meat, and sulfates in wine. Or juices.. also too much artificial Vit C , or too acidic tomatoes juice/ tinned stuff/ pasta sauces or all citric fruit juices/ vitamin additives like with citric acid.... All no good!
The most difficult for me is weaning myself off the occasionally sweeter stuff and choosing instead dates... black/ dark 75- 80% chocolate... grapes , apricots, instead of jam.
And yes,... I still have occ some Stevia but no sugar... that's why it is soo difficult to bake yourself something and succeed in making the right mixture for gluten free bread and/ or fluffy cakes, if you cant beat up the eggs with the sugar t h e same.
Yeast is worse for me than wheat alone.../ or gluten. So I do treat myself to some sourdough bread occasionally.
I do want to explore t h e Anti Inflammatory or Medit./ or DASH diet better...
One good little recipe are light fluffy ( even cheesy) courgette fritters... lovely.
