Guiafenesin
I joined a support group that encourages the guiafenesin protocal. Anyone have any experience with this?
I’ve looked at the protocol. I know I couldn’t stick with it. You have to avoiding salicylates which are found in many medications such as aspirin, cosmetics, shampoo’s and herbs. You also have to follow a low carb diet, I’ve cut enough things out of my diet, I don’t want to cut more. Also, in clinical studies it hasn’t shown it was effective for fibromyalgia. There are also side effects, but they are pretty much the same symptoms of fibro, so I guess I wouldn’t know if I was having them 😉
i use "Care by Design" CBD/THC tinctures with low THC,, you can do your homework and find a high CBD/THC ratio that works for you ,, i started with 18/1 but it wasnt strong enough ,, now use 8/1 which works pretty good,, not perfect but eliminates pain or at least dulls it down,, i also do not like THC and it makes me anxious so this is ok for me
Oh, after I was done babbling I was going to share a few links about the Guiafenesin protocol. I don’t blame you for being fearful....the herxing does not sound pleasant. These articles are newer, you may have already seen these links, if not, I hope they help. We are all in this together ❤️

Thank you for your input. I think we all are so different and need to do what works best for us. I wish there was some magical fix lol I am careful with my diet amd exercise and try to not over do it! Recently tried cbd oil which was helpful. Jist fearful of the protocol for some reason.
