Sitting Cross Legged

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

How long after healing from a complete hip replacement did it take to be able to sit fully cross legged again?

What positions or movements were you never able to do again?

Are you glad you went through it or do you regret it?

Do you have any tips to share with those of us facing a hip replacement?

Thanks πŸ˜¬πŸ€”πŸ˜¬πŸ€”

PS: I didn't ever have arthritis until after getting fibro and the arthritis is like a fast rolling snowball, it keeps accelerating and expanding. Can anyone relate?

My sister had both hips replaced and she was given so much pain relief that she barely took any pain medication. She doesn't have fibro and now needs her knees replaced. She is so happy wiith her hips she is looking forward to getting her knees done.

PositiveMom...
My Dr. told me the first time, after doing x-rays
Since then, Every
x-ray I have, shows arthritis/
DDD, bone spurs.
One Dr. did mention something ???πŸ€”showing up in a blood test. It was
related to the inflammation. I've been told for
30+ yrs, "Learn to
live with it." It was recommended to
me, Not to have
the fusions in my
spine. He said it
would only last
abt 2 yrs, then more surgery. He
was the orthopedic surgeon for UK
Wildcats, I'm told.
I would check with my Dr., so
many advances
in medicine now.

Widespread osteo arthritis. Already had one total knee replacement surgery and now having the other done. Horrible back issues and need multiple levels fused. Not ready for that big surgery. I think if you have one back surgery you will have several more.
