Does anyone get sores in your mouth and/or throat during a flare or a particularly stressful time?

I have burning mouth syndrome, which is pretty much a raw tongue, and mouth, very sensitive to spicy or tart foods. All around the edge of my tongue, it's always raw and I have a strip down the middle of my tongue that looks like super raw skin. Then I have canker sores on my gums and inside my cheeks. I bite the inside of my mouth and clench my jaw because I have TMJ. I can't wear a mouthpiece because it makes my mouth sorer. I think it's a fibro thing, because we are so sensitive to light, touch and foods that we eat. Throw some stress in there and our mouth doesn't stand a chance. That's why I hate eating anymore and just want bland food to eat. Love Mexican food but if it's too hot, I pay for it. The only thing that makes my mouth happy is icecream. It's cool and sweet and makes me feel better.

Yes, I get mouth ulcers. But I think I may have one in my throat now. It came on suddenly yesterday, this pain in a particular spot when I swallow. Has that ever happened?

yes I have found it is an intolerance of Salicylates ( acid in food ) download a diet sheet & get off all the extremely high & high foods etc for 3wks & then go back on normal diet - you'll soon know.

Oh wow I didn't know that was a fibro thing! I have been having a persistently red throat lately for about a month and have noticed dark veins and also a little red sore/bubble at the back of throat. I may go to an ent just to double check but I was worried!
