Covid Vaccine And Fibro

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I got the first Covid vaccine 48 hrs ago. I have had and still have muscle aches all over... feel tired. It feels like a fibro flare.. can’t tell if it is from the vaccine, if it is fibro, or both. Is it possible it could be both?

I’m allergic to shellfish and had both injections . It’s ok . I got it at my primary’s office . The main question that is asked is if you have had bad reactions to other
Shots . I called my pharmacogeneticist at the Mayo Clinic to talk with him beforehand .

Update: it has been a week since I got my first Covid shot and I am feeling much better.. pretty much fibro-normal...lol. I get the second shot on 2/27. I’m ready! I would rather put up with vaccine side effects than be severely ill in a hospital...I got the Pfizer vaccine.

Hi all i can understand how anybody on this site is very apprehensive to have the vaccine .It is certainly better than the thought oj being on a ventilator .I had my vaccine a week ago and the side affects i had lasted about 3-4days .Sore arm dizziness (really banging bad head which i think was absevere migraine )Tried to press my eyes and couldnt bear it .Inflammation all around my muscles .Im dreading my second one so hope it will be better .Take care all and hope your vaccines will be fine ,much better than having covid 19.My vaccine was Astra Zeneca .

I got my second shot Friday . Had some jaw pain while there which the nurse said was typical of the fecund shot within an hour - joint pain neck and shoulders . Never had any more reactions . Had a tingling tongue the first one . They kept me a hour and gave me benadryl . Said to take 2 Tylenol when got home and every 6 hours . I just had to take twice .
