Do You Find You Have To Sleep In Other Bed Or Room From Your Spouse/partner Due To Pain Or Insomnia?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have a hard time getting to sleep especially and often find myself going to spare bedroom as I am restless trying to get comfortable or due to insomnia. My husband does not function well with lack of sleep so as a means to make sure I do not keep him awake we sometimes sleep in separate rooms. This is not what I would prefer but it is necessary some nights. Does anyone else do this?

I have been sleeping in the spare bedroom for years because of the same issues. I toss and turn so much that all my blankets and pillows end up on the floor .

Wedge pillow is good. I use two pillows on top of it. I've slept like this for many many years. This is good because I also have asthma & GERD, and I jusr can't sleep flat.

SoniaRobertson,

Lol. I think the only reason my pillows don't fall off the bed is because i sleep on a blanket on the floor.

I like the wedge pillow for my gerd. I want to get a bigger wedge pillow.

i typically have one or two soft cover pillows on it. Helps with head and neck support because i am a side sleeper.

I play musical beds sometimes between my bed roll, the floor mattress, and my corner of the couch built up with pillows. Mr. Sir plays musical beds between the recliner and the floor mattress.

I want to get an ergonomic bed for Mr. Sir so he can sleep with his head up a bit see what he thinks of it. Get him up off the floor so he can get up easier. Hoping it will be more comfortable then the recliner that is slowly breaking down when he is having trouble breathing laying down. Idk. We will see.

Thinking something like this in place of the recliner for Mr. Sir...

Then thinking about getting a tatami mat for my bed roll and a bigger wedge pillow to put my pillow on. We will see.

The challenge will be getting little one used to sleeping in her bed again. She prefers to sleep out in the living room with us.
