Update for those interested, my testosterone and oestrogen are low for 'my age' im on the boarderline but what ive found interesting is that my prolactin is very high which would explain why my fibro is bad. I may be perimenopausal but not to a point where i can get treatment 🙄 so now's the fight to get someone in the health industry to listen.
Thanks everyone for your replies ❤️

Back when i had full hydterectomy my dr put me on hrt cause he said body would throw me into menopause. I was on several years ( no difference in fibro pain) then had heart attack and 3 stents. Heart dr took me off altogether

As a lay person, Advocate for almost 3 decades, I coin this DD (Darn Disease) = Dysregulation... so our great PCP checks everything that can be checked, often. My DH, who is now in mid 70s (Asperger's & GWS) is taking some cream for low testosterone, and is becoming 'superman'. Opening 30-40 boxes in our move / day & building muscles - almost like Ahhhhhnold S... lolololol

I had to look that one. Oh my! That could explain a few things. B6 a vitamin I really don't remember being told to take. Potatoes cause inflammation so I have been staying away from them ☹️ but I can work with the other stuff.
I hope was premenstrual for 10 blessed years! But I don't remember anyone Dr telling me to take B6 but I have also been on gabapentin for those same 10 years or more and that could account for loss of memories
Thank you for asking this question. God bless 🙏 you

Thank you for posting this!!!
I’m new here.
I had a full hysterectomy 8 years ago at the age of 34!
it took a full year of my body adjusting. I developed pain constantly having aches and had the hardest time getting out of bed. I pushed myself due to having 3 young children (set of twins).
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia after many tests approx 6 years ago.

I’ve been on a LOW dose of lyrica since then. It helps.
Over the years I’ve learned that hormones are SUCH A HIBE PART of my disease!!!! I’ve learned to listen to my body. It’s not a coincidence that my Fibro started after my hysterectomy.

I do not take testosterone due to it triggering migraines for me.

- I take 100mg of progesterone in the evening. It also helps with a good night sleep.
- I have been on and off estradiol.
My favorite was the FemRing because it was delivered straight to my vaginal tissue which helped the dryness women can get in menopause. My insurance quit covering it so I’m now on the estradiol patch.

I’m 42, I work part time (can’t work more than that or I hurt so bad), I have 3 kids to shuffle around plus a huge load of chores daily.
I have learned to do what I can and never ever try to compare myself with other moms my age. They simply just do not get it and that is no one’s fault but my own if I start comparing.

Anyway, I know I wrote too much!! Thanks again for posting about hormones! I’ve always believed it’s a huge part in my own diagnosis. 🤍
