Has Anyone Tried Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation To Treat Fibro? What Is Your Experience?
I kept getting turned down for additional pain meds from the hospital because they suspected I was a junkie from how much pain medication I need. So a neurologist suggested TMS. I have done 28 sessions in the span of 4 days and it is extremely painful. The improvement isn’t guaranteed so I’m not sure what to expect
I went through TMS for depression. You’re right, it was awkward and painful for me. But it did help my symptoms. I didn’t notice it but about a month after I finished the treatment I started hearing from the people around me. I was less anxious and was more even tempered. Still am a year afterwards. So for me, it was worth it.
I think for pain they focus on different areas so I can’t speak to pain relief, I’m sorry.
