I take Nature's Bounty brand of Hair, Skin and Nails. It took a few weeks to see a difference, but after having itchiness, breakouts and breaking/ shredding nails, I now have long natural nails! I had never had them before and I am in my 6th decade. Only 1 nail has ridges now, also! I hope this may help.😊

Check your medication side effects for onycholysis and onychmadesis. NSAIDS and birth control pills can cause this. You could ask your PCP for labs to rule out iron deficiency anemia or hyperactive thyroid, while you are waiting for that Derm appt. Good luck.
