Cripping Hand Pain

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hey, first question. Been a member for a while but just reading. Newly diagnosed but years in the making. Also have fnd. I wondered if any of you suffer from crippling hand pain when you try to use them. Eg I can't write with a pen or pencil, can't hold a spoon to stir, hold a pot handle, can't even brush ny hair or use the hairdryer without being in agony. My hands are almost fine at rest just a bit achy but as soon as I use them I'm crippled. Thanks for reading.

I've had my hands xrayed and had nerve conduction studies done, seen orthopaedics as well and still have no answers. Painkillers don't even touch it. It's weird.

I have the arthritis gloves, they do help. I can't wear them at work though, I'm a theatre nurse! Need disposable ones 😅
