Has Anyone Had Any Help/found Anything That Helps Weakness In Hands? I'm Getting A Bit Desperate And I Dont Know What To Do (I Have No GP)
Fibromyalgia plus probably RSI/Carpeltunnel or something I don't know
I went through a period of time where my hand grip weakened to the point that I started dropping things. Broke quite of a few dishes in the process. Started doing some hand/finger exercises and haven’t dropped anything since. There are quite a few devices to help, but I would start off with a squishy ball (not a toy) that is made for hand strengthening and when that becomes easy move onto the more challenging finger extension and like mj mentioned the finger strengthening (guitar) device and then finally the hand strengthener.
There is also a strengthening tool called a “Flexbar” that has different individual tension levels that would definitely help.
My fibromyalgia pain peaked in the early 2000s and has gradually gotten better since. Recently it hovers around 1-2.
The muscle deterioration in my hands and mouth I believe is caused by another disease. I'm waiting for an appointment with a neurologist.
You might want to try paraffin wax treatment at a spa or salon for a trial to see if it helps. If it does, you can buy at home treatments. Hand therapists use these treatments with clients also.
Gonna be completely honest. If I have to do my current job any less than I already do I will not be sticking around this world for very long.
My job is my life, some of yall have partners and kids and family who you love and keep you going when things are hard, I have this job.
So no, that doesn't work but thanks for another suggestion/help.
