Hello All, Is Anyone Experiencing Frequent Tears In The Knees Meniscus, Shoulders, And Hips?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

My knees hurt, hip and shoulder also hurt. MRI shows tears in the ligaments and Meniscus. It is just like every joint has a tear. I am so confused about why this is happening. Is this related to fibromyalgia?

I went through 4 surgeries trying to repair tears to my left knee meniscus. This is what lead to my Fibromyalgia diagnosis. It seems that a lot of us have problems with our hips, shoulders and knees that lead to surgeries. I find maintaining our muscles with low weight workouts , stretching and foam rolling helps strengthen us against injuries.
Start of slow and advance as your body allows.

The tears in the ligaments doesn't sound Fibro related. Pain in the hips, knees and shoulder could be Fibro or Arthritis. Sometimes Statins ( antilipemics ) can cause problems with tendons and muscle rupture. I don't know if you take these. You could try taking collagen peptides for repair. Have the MD or Orthopedist explain the possible causes.

How many of you that have tears have takenCipro or Levaquin which are antibiotics ? these and anything in the flouraquinalone group of meds can cause these tears
