It’s a nerve and muscle test to see how the nerves and muscles “talk” to each other. It uses both electrical shocks and then needles inserted into muscles while you move that muscle. The test itself was, for me, moderately painful. It was about an hour after my legs and feet (what they were testing) were incredibly painful like a flare. And I’m already very bruised at all needle sites.

This test is to rule out MS and/or to see if there is any neuropathy going on.
