Neck Surgery
I am seeing a neck surgeon about having neck surgery. A lot of family and friends have there own opinions about this. Some for it and some highly against it. If they knew pain I'm in they would probably want surgery too. Would you all recommend surgery or not?
I had neck surgery back in 2000. It got me out of the worst pain. Just now because of the metal plate I have cause’s arthritis stress because of not full mobility. But I would not change a thing on what I did almost 24 years ago
Oh right. My Rheumatologist told me never to let my chiropractor work on my neck. The chiropractors don’t like that. I have a friend with fibromyalgia around your age, that had neck surgery. She seems to be doing ok. It’s a personal decision and having doctors that you can trust.Wishing you a good outcome
First of all, never do
“Survey says” on something only you can decide. My best advice is know and trust your surgeon. Look for alternative options first. Always give physical therapy a chance first. And follow their instructions faithfully. My husband has a ruptured dics in his neck and has been able to avoid surgery because of physical therapy. That was twenty five years ago. Surgery should be your last option.
Its nice they are concerned for you but only you know your pain.Follow your instinct of what's right for you
Chiropractors are beneficial, but it totally depends on the problem.
I have had two back surgeries. Because of what was wrong with my back, the chiropractor was not recomended.
I also tried everything without success.
It sounds like you have limited options and the status quo is not acceptable.
You have already answered your own question. Wishing you relief and success in whatever you decide.
