Recommendations.. I Am Struggling To Control My Flare Ups And Pain Can Anyone Recommend Anything?
Walking aids, pain meds, cooling gels or heat rubs, tiredness?
Try topicals such as biofreeze roller and spray, icy Hot roller. Therapeutic mineral ice can help some too.Get a mattress topper memory foam with gel infused. The mattress topper helps with hip pain. As far as knee pain ,I have found resting is the most important thing for that. When I rest I get relief .the more I walk the worse my knees get. Hot bath where you sit in the tub instead of taking a shower gives you more pain relief. Try a heating pad and ice packs. Use whatever gives you the most relief. The pills they give for fibromyalgia do nothing but give you a hangover. As far as tiredness try drinking coffee it might help a little bit.
I think if I could bathe in tiger balm ointment, I would lol
Hot baths , especially with Epsom salts help me but I also find them to take a lot of energy to do. And I definitely don't need my fam finding me fallen asleep in one.
It's not the filling of the tub etc, but getting dressed daily without being wet and having to dry off is often hard to do, let alone whats required after a bath or shower.
I can't live without my heating pad. Pretty sure I've bought about 500 in the last 10 yrs. They make some cool ones now. Like neck ones you wear basically like a shaw.
My doc was like you can try these 3 meds. None seemed to do much. Tried water physical therapy but I ended up in a lot of pain for several days after so I quit.
Wish I could get a hot tub and a really nice bed. I think both would help. Wonder if my doc could write script for those? Lol
I'm sorry our community doesn't have all that much in the "answer" department. :/
I went to see someone at the hospital rheumatology specialist and he was the one that diagnosed me but got loads information about it but not much help
