Anyone Get A Tingly Sensation On Their Face? Feels Like Novocain Wearing Off.

Also have tooth pain on that side. Been to the dentist 3x’s and they don’t see anything. But this sensation on the left side of my face/neck is bothersome.

It’s the medical term fora tingling or numb sensation. This term was recorded in my medical record by my doctor years ago and I just looked it up to see if it meant anything more. Nope, just that you feel tingly or numb. I respect medical professionals but the mystery of fibromyalgia can be frustrating.

Well that seems horrible to go thru.

I find my teeth hurt more because I tend to lock my jaw , grind my teeth etc when having a pain attack. Fibro has beem linked with TMJ.
Several of our fibro pals suffer from it. I probably do too.

Not to mention our pain receptors are hella wonky and we have quite a few in our mouth.

There is something called referred pain and you may be experiencing symptoms of some kind of unhappy nerve in your neck. I feel like my neck is where all my fibro sits sometimes and go thru all kinds of stuff. Other times it feels like it's all sitting in my lower back but then I have tons of pain and even numbness etc in my hips and especially legs.

Just some thoughts.
I hope others can weigh in with real help/advice

Big hugs!
And I hope you feel better soon.

I have had that happen before. Doctors couldn’t confirm it was anything else so they usually write it up as Paresthesia.

I hope you find relief soon.
Both of you!

Maybe an ice pack or heating pad might help?

Could the tingling feeling be from a form of neuralgia?
I have trigeminal neuralgia and tmj. The pains and feelings are varied, and come and go.
