Anybody Out There Suffer With Their Bladders?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Hi everyone does anyone suffer with bladder issues? I am currently having bladder pain (a bit like period pain type pains) I am going for a wee lots but do wee quite a lot each time I go. I have done a dip test on my urine and it's not showing as being over acidic, no discharge either (sorry if that's too much info!) Is this another Fibro thing? I am waiting for a GP appointment. I am a 65 year old woman, had fibro/CFS for 11 years. Any info greatly appreciated!

Yeah, I have interstitial cystitis (IC) which is more common w) fibro.. maybe look it up and see if it describes your symptoms. Some foods really aggravate itπŸ™ƒ

Hi I have bladder issues, I thought were from fibro. I drink alot of water, but barely go much. I have little to almost no control, there was a time I wore diapers all the time, asI would pee in my bed, feel the urge but not make it to the bathroom....oops all over the carpet, floor, you get the idea. Now I wear Thinx, same as one of those "diapers" but alot more form fitting and discrete looking. Also they are reusable.. hand wash. For the longest time I would do Keebler exercises, and others to lift and strengthen my bladder wall. My gp gave me a diuretic to help keep me from peeing ...don't use them!!! They are horrible. Which brings me to what I was told. During covid I became very sedentary, and put on weight. It's the being sedentary, my muscles laxed until they were useless. Also I was told part of it was age too. Parts just wear out. I'm 68. AS for you only your gp can tell you, because unlike you I don't pee much, and I don't have any pain, except when I get a yeast infection. So, from the many people I have spoken to, fibro doesn't cause this. However do your keegle exercises to strengthen the muscles. It does help. But sadly unless they find another issue, chalk it up to age
Thea2 😊.

Yes, for the past month I’ve gone per often or when I feel the urge to go, it’s a bladder spasm. I’ll tell my doctor next appointment. Fibromyalgia is expensive with a lot of doctor appointments. Gif bless!
