Hi Carrie, welcome to the site. I live alone and the biggest piece of advice I can give is to break tasks down into smaller goals. For instance, if I know I'm going to need to vacuum, dust or really any cleaning, I try to plan each on a different day so it's not so daunting. I also take advantage of things that make my life easier, such as ordering groceries online and scheduling pickups versus trying to physically go to the grocery. The biggest thing for me is loneliness. I do wish I had a partner to share life with, but I manage by trying to visit friends or family when I can. We are all here to support one another and I hope you've found this helpful.

I do live by myself. I am able to do everything by myself so far. My doctor says the key is to keep myself active. I also have Celiac disease and that can be a problem. Most of the time when I am feeling bad I just want to stay in my bed. I have a emotional support dog and for the most part she is good when I don't feel well. I just fix easy meals. I hope that you can find a way to live by yourself and enjoy.

Hi Carrie, I echo Harlow. I live on my own and I know it’s a struggle but you have to plan a weekly journal you can download them online and set a task for each day remembering to give yourself a care day mid week. This has helped me with fatigue as if I’d do 2/3 things even slowly with breaks I was crashing.and hurting more the next day , you can do a task and in the afternoon or vice versa in the morning your exercises or a short walk and then you can build yourself up … over a long period of time . I do find it lonely when I’m at home on my own so I’ve started doing some flowers plants in pots to look after in the garden , I have someone come around and help me with the rest of the garden, I’m able to do a little bit of weeding but only for short time I’ll ache like mad the next day otherwise.
It’s all about pacing yourself easier said than done when you see things that need doing.
Sending you a hug hope this helps 🥰

Thanks everyone for responding. I appreciate it. My chiropractor wants me not to bend too much, stand for a period of time. Or do any lifting. I really don't like sitting still. But I have to because he wants me to rest. As he corrects my spine.

I have looked into a visiting nurse to help me out because I am having some intense pain when I'm on my feet for longer than 5 minutes.

I don't but it's like I do. I beg my family to help around the house and they don't. I over do it and spend weeks in a flare.
