Good morning C2.. I’m sorry to hear that you are having issues with this but glad you mentioned it as I have been searching the internet for answers.One suggestion was that the muscles in the throat can constrict with Fybro and the oesophegus can be affected but it doesn’t mention the any problems with speech/voice, and hoarseness. If it is a problem for you too I would personally go to my GP for advice,especially if it’s affecting your speech and you’re having trouble swallowing.Good luck 🍀 👍😊xx

@A MyFibroTeam Member So the muscle in throat could essentially pull something out of whack to cause that? That’s good to know. I guess if the Gastro doc can’t find any reason for that then it’s Fibro. Ha!

Hello Jane, I have just had a gastroscopy and have a sliding hiatal hernia..my stomach problems are ongoing..how is your stomach?

Hi C2, I used to have swallowing problems until last year, about this time, I found out I had a Hiatal Hernia that was causing the food to get stuck so that I had to cough it back up and hope that the food would down, Occasionally, I still have that swallowing problem that is why my dr is having me have a scope put down my throat (next month) to see if that hernia had grown any or just behaving itself.
