I used it many years ago, & used it for about 5 years. I was frightened to come off it as they had said it took a while for it to get in your system & the longer you were on it the better the effects.
I did eventually come off it to see what a difference it would make. What I realised was I had wasted a hell of a lot of money and didn't notice any difference.

I would be interested to know what a doctor or pharmacist has to say about long term use of it though 🤔

I had to use Mucinex for a cold and I noticed that my fibromyalgia symptoms weren't as bad as they had been before and I researched this topic and there's definitely plenty of research that shows that it helps. I've taken it since, again for colds with the same outcome. My worry would be the long term effect of thinning the mucus in my body on a regular basis.

Yes, it’s great when I have a chest cold. Helps thin the gunk out so you can cough it up better.
