I Always Hear People With Fibro Saying They're Hot All The Time. I'm The Opposite-ALWAYS Freezing. Is Anyone Else A People-sicle Like Me?
I turn off A/C vents on my side of the car in Texas summers, Carry a sweater and throw to movie theaters, my body temp is always 97 now instead of the 98.6 it used to be. I actually fainted once because I was outside in the heat, and didn't realize I was over-heated until I dropped (I never felt hot or even started sweating). So I guess something is still trying to regulate body temp, but it just seems like my thermostat is "broken".
It’s very common for those of us with fibromyalgia. I have an “infrared” heat pad it really helped me with the cold. The heat goes 3 inches deep into your tissue. Google it and you will see its safe. My daughter also has fibromyalgia and loves hers too. I go to sleep with mine at night.
My mom was like that. The house was always stifling with heat. After she got Alzheimer's we had to always be checking the thermostat. She'd turn it way up every time she passed it.
I as well am someone that is always cold. 90 degrees and I am driving with my heated seat on high. I enjoy mowing the lawn In 90 degree weather. I also am someone that can be hot and cold at the same time.
Hi VicChang, How are you?
Thank you for sharing this information.
Gentle Hugs…❤️
Lol thanks for the "hot" comment, gave this 62 year old grandma a good laugh :) I've had my hormones checked, I also have Long Covid Syndrome so they are a little wonky now, but the cold thing was before Covid. Just another fun little fibro thing, I guess. It's nice having other people who understand and are going through similar things, it's so hard trying to get people to understand sometimes. Y'all have an amazing day!
