Hello friend. Recently, I read a fantastic little book about blood sugar spikes, called The Glucose Godess.

Here are some of the tips given to reduce your blood sugar spikes.

.I have noticed that I make sure I eat my dinner around the same time each day. Or I get low blood sugar and its no fun. I test 3 times a day. I have always felt that FMS also effects diabetes as the digestion system is effected by FMS. I want to ask what kind of proteins you eat and use? I have lost a lot of weight and am hoping to get thinner to help me. Would like to hear from all that have responded to this question TX

Yes, I have this, too and no answers why (tests did not show pre-diabetes, for example). @A MyFibroTeam Member's tips from the glucose goddess are spot on in my experience. πŸ’“
For me what also helps is: if I have caffeine I need to have food with it, food that includes protein and fat. Breakfast within a half hour of getting up (or at least an hour).
I find it helpful to plan to eat ever 4 to 5 hours and to have that food ready before I get hangry. Some people need to eat more often but I find that if I eat enough, and include the right amount of protein as well as fat and complex carbs, I don't need to eat as often. .
A snack before bed helps me, savory, protein etc.

At times, yes, I get those symptoms. Years ago, a doctor did fasting blood sugar tests. She said I wasn't diabetic, but, had a "super sensitivity to sweets". She said to eat proteins before sweets to avoid the symptoms.

When I feel the symptoms, I eat protein, it usually helps quickly.

You should probably see your PCP, and ask about bloodwork.

Hope you feel better.πŸ€—

My last Dr visit, I told my PCP about an article I'd read. It said Vit D should be taken with Vit K2. The writer said the K2 helps bind the Vit D to the bones and teeth, instead of the organs.

My Dr said she hadn't heard of this, but, she made a note, and was looking into it.

The other day, at a local WalMart, I saw a bottle of Vit D with K2 added.

Once a week, I take 50,000 iu of Vit D2.
