Rheumatologist Release Back To PCP
I received my diagnosis last Thursday and my rheumatologist released me back to my PCP. I am disappointed by that because I don't know if my PCP is knowledgeable about fibro. I have not talked with her about it at all. I'm not scheduled to go back to her until May for my physical. Is it normal for your rheumatologist to do that? Should I make an appointment to see PCP sooner. I just started gabapentin and have a question but I feel like I don't have a doctor to ask now. Thoughts?
If your PCP is like mine you probably are better off-my PCP wanted to have me continue with a med I id not need that was messing up my liver-I gave her my are you insane look. She is a gate way… read more

Urinary Incontinence
This is a big issue for some of us and I hate having to wear something those days that I know that I'm going to have an accident kinda day. This is what I have noticed maybe you have noticed the same thing also

Does Anyone Else Experience An Inability To Process Pharmaceutical Medicines?
I've been like that my whole life, it's like my body just automatically wants to reject anything that's not an antibiotic or vaccine. A lot of the meds the doctors tried putting me on (when I was officially diagnosed with fibro and depression / anxiety) tried to convince me to "off" myself. I have a good handle on my brain-self, so I knew that wasn't "me" thinking those thoughts, if that makes any sense. I was just curious if anyone else has experienced this?
Yes, I was told to start antidepressants at 1/4of a dose to prevent side effects….

My Doctor Says That Pain Meds Do Not Help With Fibro-does Anyone Now What Would Help With The Pain?
My doctor is a research specialist in fibro but say they are finding out that pain meds do not help, so he does not give out pain meds. He has said to do PT. just been doing that for 1 month not sure if its helping or not. Just wanting to know if you have any suggestions on how to deal with the pain?
I would have quit a long time ago if it weren't for Tramadol. I take two or three 50mg tablets a day. Two in the morning with my coffee lights a fire under my butt and gets me moving. I may also take… read more
