I am just trying to cut back on some of my meds and am now experiencing excruciating leg cramps in the middle of the night any solutions woul be most welcome , I am trying to drink Tonic water before I go to bed as I know the quinine in it can help but not having any luck with that so far

Dear LoriKristinRuscko, I also take magnesium for the leg cramps and cramps in my feet. It helps so much. Was reading somewhere that we who suffer from fibro are very low in Vitamin D and magnesium. Probably some other stuff too. I want able to take the magnesium for a week and the cramps came back so it does do lots of good.

Sometimes I feel like a fibromaniac. I'm living in fibro land. It's a totally different universe.

magnesium, since it's a vitamin supplement I don't count it as a "med" :) It stopped my nightly leg cramps and restless legs totally.

Magnesium is what I use. Try a calcium magnesium combo, they work together. I have been told that low calcium or magnesium in your diet causes leg muscle cramps.

JeanieTaylorJames, that's really interesting. When I get overtired, besides not sleeping, and being jerky and crampy I dream really weird dreams as well. Thanks for the input.
