Have You Attended Fibromyalgia Groups?
Have you attended Fibromyalgia groups? Did they help you? What was your experience..would you recommend attending them?
Here, in my town, a group meets about every 2 months. The Lead has always been so kind to invite me.
The group is into The Guifenisen Protocal, which, Dr. Paul St. Amand created.
I have seen him in the past. He devotes 100percent of his time to Fibro, which, he had, too. His staff helps patients understand the food and beauty products, etc. that trigger Fibro.
I attended another group session that my psychologist recommended in 2013. It wasn't for me, because the complaints far exceeded positivity.
I think it would be FANTASTIC if we, FIBROTEAM, share information, ideas, and talent to develop a positive network within our respective communities.
Have a LOVELY Evening!

Claudia, I attended one back in the mid 1990s.....I wish I could say that it helped but actually I came out feeling worse....I think sympathy pains were happening. We did do something smart one time though....We were trying to find a common denominator that may have caused the fibro in each of us...We each submitted some written questions.....They were compiled on one page so we could all answer them....Hopefully we would come up with something similar that had happened to us in our past...Good idea but didn't work.....Maybe something like that could be conducted here on the forum by our administrators....Not an easy task though. Hugs your way.
I joined this internet group because I am so fatigued I wouldn't make very meeting This support group to me is just as helpful as attending one would be!
Hi! Yes I live in Ocala and go to The Villages to fibromyalgia meeting there its like this but you talk face to face and get to make more friends. I think the more you talk about it the more you learn the better you know and try new things and see what dr.'s to stay away from. I am going to see if the group would like to exchange books that they have on fribromyalgia.
I am on a couple online support groups they have their pros and cons. Too many ppl trying sell their snake oil with too many ppl desperate for help. I think here, talking with ppl one on one with similar issues is the best place overall.
