Flare Vs. Everyday

What is everyday life like for you, compared to a flare? How often do you get flares and how long do they last? Is there ever a day without pain?

I hurt every day to some degree. I never know where or when a full-blown flare will strike. Sometimes it's fibro fog which will linger for a couple of days (head feels like it's full of cotton; can't think, speak, all I can do is cry and gesture), sometimes it's my leg(s) feel like they're going to fall off at the hip when I try and walk. Or it's my whole body that hurts so much I want to scream. Some days I feel pretty good, then, WHAM! Like today, my feet and ankles are so swollen up I can barely walk. I'm hoping it will go away in a couple of days. I do have chronic lower back pain from a car accident a few years ago (and there is nothing the docs can do about it; they've tried just about everything). Pain-free days are rare for me. It's more like reduced pain days. Does this help?

I don't know what a flare is as every day I am in constant pain and it never goes away for 1 little second. I wake and I'm in pain and I go to bed in pain.
