Low Carb Diet
So the fibromyalgia diet hasn't changed my symptoms at all. I've been on it for 6 months. My dr wants me to try the low carb diet. Less than 20 carbs per day. Has anyone tried the low carb diet? Did it help your symptoms?
I talked to a clinical pharmacologic and she said there's no documented proof that changing your diet helps. I tried too and it didn't work. This illness has taken so much from me I'm not going to let it take my love for food away too if it doesn't help. I'm sure it's different for everyone thou8
I am trying the low carb diet and the gluten free and putting more fruits and vegetables in my diet less dairy started it yesterday maybe it will take away my pain I have talked to different people and they have tried one or the other but no one I have talked to have tried them all at once it will be a big change for me but this life of pain has been a big change I want to be pain free without the meds I want to wake up and feel no pain 😪😪😪
I've found some foods irritate me since I went on meds but diet wise I eat what I fancy if I'm happy and relaxed that helps much more with managing pain xxx sometimes we just have to do what feels good and not worry about things we can't control xx 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Limiting sugar has big impact on my pain.when I drink enough water and,eat well fresh fruits and vegtables. Nothing processed I feel alot better. Last few months haven't been doing that and I'm struggling. It does help "we are what we eat"
I tried low carb - does help lose weight but didn't help with pain. I look at it that if I lose weight, I will feel better in many different ways, so I'm trying again. Someone on this site told me gluten-free works for them, but it didn't work for me. I think you have to individualize a treatment plant.
