ADHD Meds
So, Here's something interesting. Does anyone who does not have ADHD been prescribed ADHD meds for increasing their energy
(ADHD meds, which help calm down people with Attention deficit work the opposite on people who don't)
It seems to be heard of more and more. Problem is.... I believe they are addictive. Why wouldn't they be. If they give you energy
I'd be hanging on the clock waiting for my next interval all day long? :_( It's sad when you have an addictive personality.

The adipex did not increase my pain at all. I actually felt better and maybe thats because i was able to accomplish things again, i actually wanted to do things instead of hide in the house doing the bear minimum with no social life what so ever because of the fatigue and pain. . My mood and attitude were so much better and so was my self esteem!!
I was diagnosed with fibro and myofacial pain disorder over 10 years ago, i have 3 kids. 10, 2 and 3 years old. I was percribed adipex also known as phentermine a couple years ago, it is a weight loss med and also increases energy. wow what a difference it made in my life. I actually felt like a normal person for the 1st time in many years. House work was done, i actually wanted to do things again. That was a couple years ago. I no longer need to loose any weight, but i am thinking of ask my doc for some type of med that increases energy. I felt like i did before fibro, so good, happy and full of life with the adipex, i just want to feel normal or like my old self again!
I involuntarily lose consciousness all throughout the day. Even while driving. I am one of the few who don't seem to get hung up on the euphoric side effects of meds. I feel it but I never let it control me. I am on the Fentanyl 100 mcg/hr patch and oxycodone IR for breakthrough pain from severe two level lumbar DDD.
I have been taking narcotics for 15 years now. When you need them, it is never worth getting addicted so that you lose them.
I take 20 mg of Adderral ER once a day. I was taking 10 mg twice a day of the IR version. Both don't help very much.
The severe daytime sleepiness trumps the meds which is why I had to stop working. They help a little...with focus, concentration, and alertness from burning off morning time grogginess. But, nothing spectacular. And yet, the benefits do keep me from sleeping 17 hours a day. Extremely thankful for that!
My doctor doesn't want to up them because they increase in tolerance rapidly...meaning it doesn't take long before another increase in dose is needed.
Severe emotional stress is the primary driver of loss of consciousness. If I get really upset and explode over something, I will lose consciousness in 30 mins tops.
@A MyFibroTeam Member Hi
My mom lives out that way, Northeast Denver. I see the light rail going up, slowly. LOL. Stop worrying, God's got this 😤
@A MyFibroTeam Member I still love your personality 😤
@A MyFibroTeam Member Thank you so much for the encouragement and ideas for my little boy. Yes, he is handful and homeschooled now due to being abused in school. He is much happier at home now.
I drive short distances now because of the fatigue. Thankfully it is not a spontaneous knock out. I do feel it coming on and then I am forced to fight it out. I'm in North Aurora out by E470. My subdivision backs up to the middle no where. So bus transport would indeed be tough. But they are slowly expanding lightrail so hopefully someday public transport will help me. Hubby needs to get his license but I bite my nails think about him driving my luxury car that is stil lease😬
Hugs back to you!❤️
