Financially how do people manage to be home and work part time financially if that something I wanted to do going forward??
I want to do less hours and relax more as I know this helps with my anxiety.
Thanks

i currently work full time, i feel it is killing me as i have no life other than working or sleeping. i have been signed off work for 10 weeks now as i have had a massive flare up. i have never been this ill before. they are making me do split shifts, against their own occupational health reports, they are trying to get rid of me. the stress is making my symptoms get worse daily. i am in the process of finding out what benefits i could get and if i can work part time, god knows doing what lol i will let you know when i find out more info. hugs x

As I slowly worked less I redid the budget. Then less hours and redo the budget. Then early retirement. Then forced retirement. Took about awhile but now the budget is a bit more stable. Only from my experience.

Trisse I'm from the UK and there are plenty of option open to you in the short term, first one is ESA ... Call up and claim it right away, you are entitled to it and it then also means you won't pay for you prescriptions,
You can be on income related for up to a year and then it changes to the other version of it but you still get paid, it's for people who are off sick from work who can't look for work x
You just need s drs note and you can't back date your claim too xx
Also you can apply for pip, you may only get the lower rate of it but it allows you to work 16 hours a week, xx good luck any more info just ask x

In US. In California we have Disability Ins. It's part of the Unemployment Ins system. (I don't know if other states have this, WA where I was from originally does not).... If you become injured or sick for any reason, you can apply for CA State Disability for up to one year, you get weekly benefits as long as your doctor is keeping you out of work, it's not much but something........ Social Security tells you that if you have an illness or injury which you expect to be disabled for at least one year, that you should apply. Part time work wouldn't pay more then social security, so for me it's not an option, nor could I really work, They'd not be able to rely on me...........

If you live in the United States, get yourself a good lawyer and apply for disability.
