Others Touching You

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Theres someone in my office who likes to touch others - not in an inappropriate way tho. Shes put her hand on my shoulder and squeezed.
I certainly dont want everyone to know i have fibro. How have you handles this type of situation in the office, with acquaintances and others?
Thanks

I have one of those people at the office as well.the best thing to be is straight out ask them to respect your space and not to touch you, they get the message..believe me.

Yes..It's annoying when ppl can't take the hint. They keep SQUEEZING you!!! :/ and when I did tell her she was hurting me and why because of my fibromialgia she just said that can't be hurting you I'm barely touching you girl..I almost lost it....sorry. no you shouldn't have to tell anyone that you have fibro just you don't like to be touched
