I'm a 38-yr old mom and having a hard time right now keeping up with everything due to a combination of my fibro & dystonia, and my son's special needs (he has a serious heart condition along with anxiety and some ADHD symptoms). A few weeks ago, I quit my part time job because I just couldn't handle it all right now. My husband is upset that I'm not working now, but the past week, I feel like I am giving everything i can to function as the best mom I can be for my son and keep the house running… read more

I'm a mother of 2 both have ADHD, the oldest has been diagnosed with juvenile fibromyalgia. The doctors made me stop working years ago, said I had to choose my career or my children, I chose my taking care of my children. My doctor helped me file for disability, have you tried that? Just taking care of my children is all in able to do some days. Hang in there your not alone.

Hi there! I wish I had an answer for you. I get a lot of help from my hubby, which I'm grateful for. Other than that, I just try to pace myself. I try to do what I can and leave the optional stuff for later. It is so overwhelming though, so I'm really interested to hear what other parents have to say.

I'm now a grandma and don't know how we did it cuz we worked 58 hours a week for years going in at 5am!! I now have 2 granddaughters ages 11 and 1.5. The little one keeps me hopping and I'm now 63 so it's much harder for me now

I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling. It's not easy, I'm currently looking into disability myself because home job and work job are too many jobs lol. Hang in there and do the best you can. I hope things get better for you.
