Could Have Going Through A Abusive Relationship Brought On Fibromyalgia?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Detroit, AL

I didn't have the fibromyalgia pain when I was like 36. I met a guy whom I thought was a nice guy then the abusive started mentally & physically. I was scared to leave him because he threatened that he would kill me if I did. After about 4 years of this I got out. I was fool enough to marry him after a few months of dating him. I divorced him after 4 years. The pain in my body started after a year or so later. I believe that's what triggered it. What's anyone's opinion on this?

Definitely. Walking on eggshells and uptight. That's what kicked mine in.
Sorry chica. Get well.
