Has anyone written a letter to the judge just to let him know what you are experiencing everyday? My attorney said that he may ask me a question or rather my feedback. I wrote him a letter because I tend to be able to express myself a little better by writing. It has taken me 2 months to write it because today I might want it to read and then tomorrow I might want it to say something else. I'm going to mail it with the paperwork that I had to have sign off on from my therapist and doctor

When I had court after the hearing the judge was so nice and kind and said that he would give me 10 days to write him a letter if I feel there was something I wanted to say but was to nervous to say it, so I did write him a letter. At the court hearing there was a career counselor and she was saying that I could work this job or that job, if you have a lawyer they should argue that at the hearing. I didn’t have a lawyer but God was definitely in there with me that day because the judge was defending me against the career counselor, he is supposed to be neutral but God moved on my behalf and I won my case! I pray you will be approved in Jesus name!

I was denied Social Security disability 3 times my understanding is fibromyalgia was granted as a disability in 2012 . My company that I worked for for many years Gave me a lawyer to help me with my case. This attorney said to me that any attorney filing for disability on my behave will only be paid if my case is won.
Max pay 6,000. this may sound like a lot but it really isn't.
You are granted Social Security disability from the first day you filed for disability.
You must file for appeals if you lose the case do not start all over a good attorney would tell you this.
Also this is disability SSD not SSI there's a difference between the two
Also if you have minor children you need to add them into your claim which paid half of my SD to my 3 year old son.
Also you can find out what your SSD will pay you if you are disabled before 65 on a form that they send you every year from Social Security
I would check out the Social Security Department their website they do tell you information.
If any attorney ask you for money up front I'm thinking that is illegal you have to get a Social Security attorney.
The hardest thing for me was keeping track of all my doctor's appointments which at the time we're probably 4 a month. Ask your primary doctor if your condition is that bad he will recommend that for you and help file everything.
My point was to the Judge , I want to go back to work but there was an occupational therapist there which said there was nothing that I could possibly do unless the job would give me a break every 15 minutes.
Good luck ,

I went in front of the judge to get my ssi but they did not have anyone else there except my lawyer and the stenographer. Good luck.

Yes, I have. I broke down in front of the judge. As I was doing sedentary work before, there were no jobs open to me.

Ugh. I started my disability paperwork May 2014. Denied, denied, sat in front of the Judge, denied, appealed that and denied a 4th time in October 2014 (yes, almost 3 1/2 years!) and my lawyer kicked me to the curb. Now I've hired yet another lawyer and my case has to start all over again, being told it will probably be another 3 years. I just don't understand our judicial system anymore. I know plenty of people receiving SSD and they have much less issues than I do. So very frustrating. I wish you all the best!
