I have found that Vicks Vapour Rub is very good for helping with muscle cramps. I get really bad cramps in my feet and calf's. I am a firm believer in speaking to the chemists (Pharmacy for our American friends) I know it may sound a little strange to use something that is normally used for colds etc...
However, I took his advice.. Rubbed the Vicks over my feet, toes and calves and put my socks back on... My cat Bear isn't keen on the smell but I must admit I have recommended it to several people.
It works for me and I am sure it will help l

Hylands restless legs or leg cramp pills from walmart. They work good and are all natural. I take the leg cramp one and it has helped my charlie horses. My friend takes the restless leg one and helps her alot. I hope they help you. They are not very expensive either. I think i paid $10.00 for 100 pills. Good luck. Hugs

I remember an article was on ( BBC uk site) that said sometimes people needed sleep retraining - relearning that bed equals sleep rather than the torture of a difficult night ahead. Listening to audio books or music we are more likely thinking about the story or music we are listening to, and no longer thinking about the process of going to sleep and therefore the brain switches into passive mode and then sleep happens upon you as if by accident. I hope this may give you some relief.

I forgot to tell you that I also take a magnesium and potassium supplement daily. For some reason, fibro depletes our bodies of both of these. Low levels can cause cramping. Try them and letme know if it helps. Good luck. Hugs
