I also suffer from dry mouth from my meds! Okay, we have talked about the sore burning tongue and because so many of us have it, I totally believe it is somehow from fibro! There are too many of us that have it for it to be a coincidence yet doctors never mention it so I don’t believe they even realize! I think all of us on our next visit to our doctor, rheumatologist, physiotherapist, psychologist or any other professional treating us for fibro, we should mention this and ask them to add it anywhere and put it out there asking all those in the health field if their fibro patients have it!! I honestly think if we all mentioned it, they would add it to a problem list for us sufferers. Who knows, maybe it would even be a help to find a cure???

Ask your doctor to order you a Rx for Magic Mouthwash, it will stop the buring that is very uncomfortable to say the least.

Yes, Gabapentin causes dry mouth for me. I try to sip water often, use Biotene mouth wash and toothpaste.

Thanks everyone!! It is the weirdest thing to have this burning tongue and it hurts like hell. I NEVER would have connected it to fibro if it weren’t for this site!!

Oramoist patches will give longer lasting moisture. Using mints, candy or gum can help increase saliva, but avoid adding sugary products. When our mouths are dry, we have limited protection against cavity and gum disease causing bacteria.
