Dry Needling?
I have started dry needling where i have to travel abroad every few weeks to get it done.im at the beginning of the process but has anyone actually tried dry needling and benefited from it?
I love dry needling! It's helped me so much several times with tendonitis (before I was diagnosed with fibro), and with hip and low back pain too. I'm a runner so I've done it just for regular maintenance of my body. It's basically a similar effect to getting a massage but a deeper, more targeted method of treatment!
Unfortunately when the covid pandemic hit, i couldnt continue. I had 18 sessions in turkey. I managed to go back once there and then my son became ill with a mental health conditiion. So with all the stress I am back to square one. However, when i used to go i realised that that every session it kept me going for a few mo ths where i would feel more relaxed and less tense in my muscles. It actually helped me going.
Never tried. Keep us posted hope it helps you
I haven’t had dry needling before
Dry needling is good for relieving trigger points but should only be done gently - too aggressive will leave you with a strong and possibly lingering response. I have found acupuncture better for overall achieving less stress in muscles and use dry needling only when things get out of control. i also have massages to tune the muscle tone. You wont get rid of fibromyalgia but you can use a variety of these types of treatments to manage pain and also muscle/fascia flexibility/tone.
