Diet
Has anyone had success with easing symptoms of fibromyalgia through diet? Keto, WFPB, a combination of animal and plant foods?
For me, sugar contributes to more brain fog and cognitive issues!
I follow the 1:1 Diet, I’ve lost 7 stone without being able to exercise at all but not compromised my nutrition like calorie counting and keto (unless you really know what you’re doing).. For me, having pre-portioned meals that were calorie counted for me, easy to make (add water and microwave) or simply ready to eat but with all the vitamins and minerals in them has not only helped me shed the weight but feel more independent doing so. I know my husband would gladly cook anything I asked for but I wanted to do this ONE THING for me!
I used Fibro as my motivation to keep me going.. using the logic that I can’t control what my body does but I can control what I put in it has helped me through some testing times!
It’s not cured my Fibromyalgia, I’m not sure any diet will BUT its certainly helped my mobility as I’m using crutches or a stick more than my wheelchair now, I’ve also been able to save myself from falls or feel less guilty if I need a hand up from the floor! I now also take less meds and my mental health and confidence has certainly improved too.. AND, it’s given me a work from home option as now I help others to do the same!
Sugar doesn't trigger fibromyalgia. It is your nerves over reacting. Has nothing to do with sugar. Just watch your portions
That is interesting! I have to watch cane sugar too!
Everybody's different. I have found that I can eat sourdough wheat bread as long as it doesn't have barley or Rye in it. Also, I try to stay away from anything with cane sugar as much as possible. Also, I try to avoid Dairy but it's not always possible.
