Do You Make Plans Assuming You Will Not Be In A Flair And Break It If The Flair Happens Or Do You Make Plans According To If In A Flair?

Context: have had fibro for 10.5 years. First 2.5 years rough, not used to it, some flair ups, getting diagnosis. The most recent 8 years my new normal was 4/10 pain with minimal fatigue, minimal weakness, no fibro fog. I was fully functional and could live life the same as always had able to ignore the new feelings to my new normal. Last month was the worst flair I have ever had. Pain 7-9/10, fog, deep fatigue... Nancy, I have found that years ago, when I changed my mindset, things got better for me. I still have pain, but,I just won't give up my life!

I live my life like I don't have fibromyalgia. It helps me to think that way. My closest friends understand that I may have to cancel but, so far, I've done well. I refuse to give in to it.

Annie, yes I do have infrequent flairs. And, not as many as I did when I changed my mindset.
