Do Anyone Else Deal With Low Blood Sugars. Reactive Hypoglycemia. If You Do, Any Tips?
I had it for 45 years, until Long COVID flipped me into diabetes. I agree with CherylAnthony's response. Your best control is the diet. This is one of those cases where you need to change the way you look at food. There's tons of good books, Mediterranean diet works really well, but I can't stick to it. Keto diet- ask your doc, they def don't like the ketosis for diabetes, could be the same for hypo. I really like a mix of So Beach and Caveman Diet. Of note: stress, esp if constant, will HUGELY increase your symptoms. Carry the glucose tabs with you and keep at home and work for "just in case". Also add something like peanut butter crackers and hard candy (with sugar) where you have your tablets. The tabs will stop your blood sugar from continuing to drop and elevate it some. You'll need some quick food to get your numbers up, until you can have a proper meal. Best of luck🕊
For many years, my go to was OJ and peanut butter crackers. I always have OJ in the house.
I carry food too. Kirkland brand protein bars and glucose tablets. You just gave me a thought though. Maybe, I need a different type of bar, like granola. Do your family members that have low blood sugar also have fibromyalgia?

Have a great day!!
It runs in my family for several generations now. We carry “emergency granola bars” in our purses and vehicles 🚗 at all times.
I have the same problem. For me, I limit my carb intake, no sugar, and as unprocessed as I can make it. When I eat like this, I don't have any symptoms of reactive hypoglycemia. Hope this helps you.
