Swollen Knee And Thigh

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Every day I keep getting swollen knees, inside knee and thigh. My knees click a bit too and have the fibro achiness. My left leg is the worst. Does anyone else get this and what helps it?

Thanks, I've not been able to kneel down for years so I use a low stool to sit and do weeding. I saw a doctor years ago and he said it was oedema and a rhematologist said you don't get swelling with fibromyalgia and my hands were fat! I'm doing slot if driving to visit my mum in hospital so hopefully when she's out it will get better. Thanks for your replies Peter and Shelley xx

My knees are permanently swollen. I could have replacement ones but I don’t want to lose the mobility I currently have, albeit it painful. Being able to kneel is important to me when gardening. The cartilage in my knees is worn. For some reason my thighs have got thinner which happens with my problem. The discomfort changes on a hourly basis. One minute I can walk upstairs easily the next I am struggling. The same with walking. I hope your situation improves Jude. Take care.

I had a bone density scan a few years ago and the dye leaked out of my left knee so maybe it is bursitis.

Could it be bursitis?
