I had to give up work 3 yrs ago. I am thinking of applying for a benefit disability? Is this possible if you have fibromyalgia and living in the UK?
i live in southend have recently been awarded 50% attendance allowance....no help or advice about benefits or medications/ treatments from anyone . at 74 i would appreciate a bit more help don't mind helping myself but sleep really badly and suffer from fatigue .when people ask about various symptoms i seem to have most of them now . at one time i would have thought i was being a hypochondriac but realise this condition is so far reaching . glad i wasn't so bad when raising my children idon't know how people manage .
Hi,
I live in London and get disabilty it took me a few goes as at first they refused but you have to appeal. It will also depend on how supportive your GP is. Good luck get advice from the citizen advise centre they really are good and helped me a lot.
gentle hugs xx
Yes don't wait.
I have fibro and arthritis and vertigo. I applied and filled in the form and within a few weeks I got the higher rate of Attendance Allowance. I am 80 next year so maybe that was taken into account. I wish I had applied earlier
I have fibromyalgia it took me 6 years to get on disability
