I like to do bits of gardening takes my mind of somewhere else I think if you sit about your pain gets worse because you thinking more about it and gets you depressed then other stuff comes into your head from years ago best try keep occupied with something you like doing x
I walk 2 miles a day at a steady pace, keeps ur muscles loose
I so get this! I work thru the pain of exercising because "why not? I am in pain even if I don't." Also, if I work out at a smaller level, I don't feel the pain afterwards. However, being a fitness warrior and outside enthusiast, I also miss the "big hike" and "coastal walks with my dog." So I do it. Not all the time and I prep so I am not expected to do something big and taxing the next day!
Well last week I was in Connemara and for the first time in nearly 50 years I went horse riding. I'm still aching but I don't mind,it was wonderful cantering along a beach,in and out of the sea. I also went for a bike ride and on a rowing machine and swimming in the sea. I've realised that I ache if I do and if I don't so I might as well do whatever I can. I will not let this awful disease ruin and take over my life,as it has for a long time. I'm planning to do,water aerobics and go riding once a month. I'm on a high at the moment!
