Go to a gym with a pool and take some aquatic exercises because flour exercise can be painful. I've lossed 30 pounds in 6 weeks. I eat ONLY salmon, fresh tuna, fruits and veggies, drink a lot of water, herbal teas, do a lot of stretches, get plenty sleep and keep my stress to a minimal, PRAY and go to church, read my bible and gave bible study at home with family. All of this is very helpful. Try my best to keep a good social life. Going to movies, going window shopping, taking short walks, listening to a lot of music. Jazz, classical jazz, smooth listening, instrumental. Try it and let me kno. Good luck.and God bless

Yes I do that's why I eat more sockeye salmon that the best one to eat and sardines I alternate. Fish 3 days Chicken 1 day lean steak 1 day and 2 days no meat or fish just fruits, veggies, organic teas and Alkaline water. Now everybody Water intake is different because some of us sweat more than others I drink 1 1/2 gallon of water daily because I'm a sweater. I eat a lot of nuts all kind but mostly walnuts, almond, Brazilian, sesame seeds, pumpkin, sunflower seeds, and more. I've had 4 surgeries on my stomach. When you get cut on your stomach like that it kills the nerves and that effects your bowels. I've also had 3 back surgeries so you loose the ability to have bowel movements your bowels have to come with ease. So this is why I eat the choice of good I do. I've recently had my surgery 25th of January . I've lossed 20 pounds with no exercise because I haven't been released to go Back To water Therapy exercise. I'm short so I have to do what I know works. Good luck. @A MyFibroTeam Member. I hope this explains why I eat the way I do. Yes weigh bearing exercising is great as well I do 30 minutes of weigh exercises. I also meditate after I do my yoga. That's the best it helps with getting your Breathing right after exercise.

I agree with water aerobics and swimmimg. My gym has a heated therapy pool...its much better on fibro patients than the typical colder pool.

Also light weight training is very good for weight loss. 3-5 lb weights, lots of reps...doesn't need to be done all at once. Varied exercises, arms, legs, core muscles. The more mucle mass you put on, the easier it is to loose fat, as you base metabolic rate changes and you are burning more calories even at rest. A few years ago i went from a size 24 to 12 by aggressive weight training. Just cardio wasn't helping, but it came off quickly with two months of weights.

@A MyFibroTeam Member...are you keeping mercury levels in mind? I wouldn't eat fish too often. There are many plant sourced proteins, as i'm sure you're aware.

If u want to lose weight fast n help ur fibro cut down or out glutens n sugars. Ud be surprised. Ud feel better n lose weight. My fibro doctor told me to cut it completely out but that's very hard to do. Best of luck💜
