Does Anyone Have Experience With CRPS Plus 2 Other Questions (please See Below).
Hi All
Just joined and was wondering a couple of things
1. Does anyone have fibro and CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome)? I was recently diagnosed in my feet.
2. If so, or either way, does anyone have a service animal to assist with stability and medicine (during fibro fog)?
3. I’m planning to move to Colorado from Virginia in the next month or two and would like info. on fibro reaction to altitude and/or inflammation issues due to barometric pressure fluctuations?

Oh boy can
I ever tell you about altitude. I lived 30years in CO.
I had fibromyalgia at least 28 of those years. The pain was so bad there and fatigue. First of all the altitude will cause less oxygen in your blood. Slowing anyone down even after you get used to it.
Barametric pressure changes are huge swings. My body couldn't keep up. You can check a states barrametric pressure changes over a year on goggle to see your self.
Colorado is a awesome state. So beautiful and you can get CBD there legally to help pain. But bad for FM sufferers.
I dont know how old you are but my daughter at 38 yrs old has terrible FM in CO. I had it terrible when
I lived there too. And even though the winters are shorter you still get big barrametric changes. I moved to the carribean because
I am retired now and it is somewhat better. Mostly because its sea level and warm and the barametric weather swings are much less.
I Still have FM though so it's not a cure there's just less agitators here.
You are in for a rough time in CO I'm afraid. Summers are better.
Also over the last maybe 4 years CO has had a huge influx of people from California. Making the price of housing and apartments go sky high.
They also brought a very liberal view point with them which has changed things. The roads are crowded since all this has happened.
Sorry to be negative but dont move there for FM to be better.
Have you visited for any leangth of time in the winter?
Good luck to you.
Dear Noon I haven't done a really good study on barametric pressure up or down. It's the swing between the 2 that makes a flair for me.
I think everyone is so different on this. I have a barrametric pressure reader on our boat. I think I will log my flairs more.
Lack of oxygen is going to make you tired. Colorado's not known as a allergy free state or a FM free state.
Wait until the cottonwood flys. But I see your really excited to go and it's a beautiful state.
It's so pretty in Estes park.
You won't know until you try it yourself. Good luck to you.
I wish you the best.
I have an emotional support dog, and she's really comforting on bad days, especially since I live alone.
I've also got that crps in my foot. I broke my great toe about 3 years ago. It was a bad break, it didn't break crossways, but on the central bone downwards. It had split in half. Now sometimes I can not bear to have my entire foot. Good luck and gentle hugs
Hi Sailgirl:
Thanks for the input and response. I lived in CO for a year before getting FM. Never had an issue with altitude (lived in Estes Park) and was told it may be because I was a singer and swimmer?! Therefore, I'd learned breath control. Don't know.
I mostly moving cause of all the states I've lived, my allergies in CO were the best and my allergies seem to be the number one issue with setting off a bad FM day. Also, due to the CRPS and allergies my immune system is crashing.
Out of curiosity, do you do better with high or low barometric changes? I seem to notice some FM folks better at sea level and others better high up. I know I'm better when i go visit my aunt in the mountains of PA, but then all
the molds and grasses kill me.
Thanks a bunch for your response!
