I have experienced that as well. I did a lot of reading online once in the middle of the night. I can't remember exactly where I found the following information but I found it to make sense. It was caused by exhaustion from not being able to get good sleep.

My Rheumatologist gave me a tip that I have discovered help a great deal- He said to take at least 1,200 mgs of magnesium citrate in pill form prior to going to bed and if have shaking during the day take a second dose of Magnesium Citrate of the same amount about an hour after getting up each day as it will help reduce the muscles

Yes. I’ve had this in head and sometimes in different parts of body. Also get brain “shocks”. Usually right before I fall asleep. So yes I guess it’s a symptom. Hugs to you. Prayers. And hope you have as painless a day as possible.

Do you mean your head physically and visibly jerks or this is a sensation? My mother’s head moves like a tremor but I get a sensation I can only liken to electric shocks. I feel that throughout my body too

Yes, you should get that checked. My jerking in head started in 2006 and now I have to take baclofen for seizures/muscle spasms. I'm sorry your feeling that aweful pain sensation and the jerking. Sounds like a type of seizure. I get them and hate it. So sorry to hear 😞
